A post before I go...

Here I am again, preparing for another of life's experiences.  I've been jotting down lists, check-marking the obvious stuff, and hoping I don't overlook anything else that's really important.  One of the nerve-racking things about traveling to another country is the lack of being able to easily obtain some obscure, but necessary item you did not think was so important when the convenience store was just down the block back home.  But, as I quickly learned when I was traveling El Camino de Santiago in Spain for 32 days, that those objects we deem important in our busy, consumption-filled lives, may not be as essential when faced with a more simple and humble world.

I fly out of Boise on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 and will arrive in Guatemala City on the morning of August 11, 2011.  I am fortunate to have all of you wonderful people following my travels-- see you on the blog.

  1. Brandy - How exciting for you to go and be one of the hands on people to give service to our Heavenly Father's less fortunate children. I am so excited to follow you thru this wonderful and inspiring adventure. God's speed and safety. Love, Debbie Miles
